DESCRIPTION:
Homemade Chinese (differential) windlass constructed for demonstration purposes. PVC pipes are used for the windlass barrel, iron pipes and pipe fittings for the crank handle. Components mounted on a wooden frame.

Though limited in application nowadays (because of cheap hydraulic equipment), concepts like these would still have use in some environments.
