Built one of these myself, I used the 13 horse Grayhound engine from Harbor Freight and mounted mine on a cart. The Harbor Freight engine crankshaft was a little larger than the 1" Lovejoy, so I opened the coupler up with a drill mounted flap wheel. I used a Rubber Maid garbage can shelter with a plywood floor inserted to accommodate the casters under the generator. With our exceptionally steady electric service, t is used mostly as a portable power source for my stick welder.

Very nice, though a bit expensive.
