Homemade Grader Axle Bearing and Seal Installation Tools

Hi Frank, Great idea. I never made this installer but what I had was a collection of bearing races inner and outer from 40 years of building transmissions, axles etc. I very rarely had a problem with installing seals and new bearings. Some of the shops I worked in over the years did not have installers. Anyone in the shop that had problems installing a seal or bearing was pretty happy when I would show them how to install without damaging a new part. One day a boss with a bug up his behind told me to get rid of my bearings. I had two 5 gal. pails full. So I took them home. When someone would ask for a race to install I would say they got moved to the big green file cabinet in the back. (aka dumster). When they come back and say they can't find it I point to the dumpster. After two or three attempts the boss has no choice but to buy an installer which they should have had all along. Thanks Frank.
