DESCRIPTION:
Homemade adaptation of a small vise, consisting of mounting it to a section of mild steel, thereby enabling its use in a full-size vise. Permits small workpieces to be secured during machining operations.

I see the ingenuity in this idea...am I correct in assuming it is required because the larger vise jaws are not able to grip small parts effectively? If so, why is that? Just curious.
